Online Ayurveda: your questions

How sessions with Dr Amit Gupta, MD work for clients in New York and New Jersey.

What is Ayurveda, in plain terms?

A system of health from India, practiced for more than 3,000 years. It holds that each of us has a distinct constitution, and it keeps that constitution steady through what we eat, how we schedule the day, and simple herbs and habits.

Can I do this without coming to an office?

Yes. Sessions happen on a private video call, so you can join from your apartment, your office or anywhere in the tri-state area.

Will this replace my regular doctor?

No. What you get is education and lifestyle guidance, meant to sit alongside the care you already have. Stay on any prescribed medication, and let your doctor know before you change anything.

What does the first session look like?

Dr Amit asks about how you digest, sleep and feel day to day, what and when you eat, and your health history. From that he works out your constitution and what is out of balance, then sketches your plan.

How quickly will things change?

That depends on how closely you follow the plan. Most people notice their digestion and sleep first, and we check in on progress together.

Will you suggest herbs or supplements?

Mostly kitchen spices and herbs you can find at a grocery store. If a supplement comes up, we check it against any medications you take first.

Where are your clients?

Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, Westchester, Long Island, Jersey City and Hoboken, and anywhere else with an internet connection.

What is the CureNatural app?

The companion app for your plan: a dosha quiz, a core constitution plan and a daily routine you can follow on your phone.
